FAQ

  • Do I Need a Doctor's Referral?

No, you do not need a doctor’s referral for Chiropractic care or for insurance purposes. Chiropractors are able to diagnose injuries therefore we do not require a note from a medical doctor to treat.

  • What is the cracking/popping?

An adjustment or cavitation is the release of nitrogen gas out of your joint capsule. Similar to you cracking your knuckles. Multiple studies have found that adjustments are a safe and effective way to reduce pain and increase range of motion to the area of complaint.

  • Do you Always Adjust?

No, every patient will have a different treatment protocol based on needs and comfortability. There are many different ways to get motion into the joints without an adjustment, such as joint mobilizations.

  • How Long will I have to see you for?

This is entirely based on the injury or complaint. My goal at the end of the day is to slowly increase the treatment period time until you are either at a point where you don’t need to come see me or want to come back on an as needed basis for maintenance care.

  • What Should I Expect on my First Visits

During your first visit we will go through a full written history of your complaint, a range of motion scan, neurological and orthopedic testing. Following that we will go through and sign consent forms and then save some time for a quick treatment at the end.

  • Why do you Treat with so many Different Modalities?

I truly believe that not every injury is joint related therefore I use different modalities such as deep muscle tissue work, neurofunctional acupuncture and rehab exercises to get to the root cause of the issues.
